These terms are the agreement between you and UniTalkie FZ-LLC. Please read them — by creating an account or using UniTalkie, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions are an agreement between you and UniTalkie FZ-LLC(“UniTalkie”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using UniTalkie, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Your use of UniTalkie is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

2. Eligibility

To use UniTalkie you must:

  • be a current student or member of a university we support, with a valid email address from that university;
  • be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live);
  • be able to enter a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.

We verify your university email domain at sign-up. If your university isn't supported yet, you can ask us to add it.

3. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and account secure — we encourage you to enable two-factor authentication.
  • You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think it has been accessed without your permission.
  • One account per person. We may suspend duplicate or fraudulent accounts.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use UniTalkie to:

  • break the law or encourage others to;
  • harass, bully, threaten, or harm others, or post hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, or sexually explicit content;
  • send spam, malware, or viruses, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • infringe others' intellectual property or privacy, or share someone's private information without permission;
  • use UniTalkie for advertising or commercial purposes without our written permission.

5. Your content

You own the content you create on UniTalkie. To run the service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely to operate and provide UniTalkie. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared in conversations and any retention described in our Privacy Policy.

You're responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it. Uploaded files are scanned for malware.

6. Content moderation

We may review, remove, or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these terms or the law. We act on reports and may moderate proactively to keep the community safe. These decisions are at our reasonable discretion.

7. Our intellectual property

The UniTalkie name, logo, design, and software are owned by UniTalkie FZ-LLC and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of UniTalkie without our permission.

8. Service availability and changes

UniTalkie is an early-stage product and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and we don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

9. Third-party services and links

UniTalkie may contain links to third-party sites or rely on third-party services. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Links are not endorsements, and your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty about accuracy, security, or availability.

UniTalkie is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any university. Academic information is provided to help organize student communication and may not always be complete or current — verify official details with your institution.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniTalkie and UniTalkie FZ-LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. UniTalkie is provided free of charge; our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or AED 100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold UniTalkie FZ-LLC harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of UniTalkie, your content, or your breach of these terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You can stop using UniTalkie and delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, or where required for legal or security reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai, UAE have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. We may report unlawful activity and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities as required by applicable law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use UniTalkie after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
